Think of the perfect chicken, whether it be fried, baked or grilled. It’s important to have the perfect blend of seasonings to complement this; something with depth and complexity, but without the heat, to bring out the best flavors. There is no simple recipe for this, requiring several herbs and spices, in just the right amount, to truly compliment your poultry.

Adding Chicken Scratch to chicken before, during or after the cooking process can greatly enhance the flavor and texture of the meat. Just remember to cover it and place in the refrigerator if you let it cure before cooking.

Mix 1/4 cup of CHICKEN SCRATCH seasoning with 2 cups of flour. In separate bowl, mix 2 cups milk with 1 egg, until blended. Dip chicken into milk mix first, then roll in seasoned flour til covered, pressing gently to ensure fully covered. Repeat. Now either Bake at 350 degrees for 30-40 minutes, or deep fry with vegetable oil at 360 degrees til brown and crisp
(8-12 minutes) Mmmm, Mmmm!!

Also apply this to any fish or poultry for added depth and flavor.



Himalayan Pink Salt, Garlic, Basil, Rosemary, Oregano, Black Pepper, Onion, Sweet Paprika, Thyme, Sage, Savory, and Marjoram.

    We have used all of Heaths seasonings & love them especially since their are NOT any chemicals or fillers. We use chicken scratch on everything, even eggs. You!

    I found this accidentally at the Gun Show and have been hooked ever since. I use it on chicken but I also use it on eggs, in soups and everything else I can think of. It is versatile and “yummy”. I used to run out so often, I finally started buying the large bottles. You won’t go wrong with this or any of the Heath’s Blends. We have a Celiac in the family so this is perfect!!!
